Meet the Players
Thierry Lujan
Thierry Lujan is a hidden jewel from the south west of France. He is a self taught musician who has played across the world including in the forbidden city in China. Thierry is an arranger and has composed over 100 songs, one of which was sung by an entire stadium in Madagascar. His main passion is for jazz and Brazilian music for the rich harmonies but he is also a talented rhythmic player who will never cease to surprise with his vast expanse of cultural influences as well as impressive mastery of his instrument.
Thierry has an in depth knowledge of harmony as well as heightened sensitivity and writes beautiful arrangements for the West Coast Quartet which brings the beloved repertoire to a whole new level. He is in high demand as a solist, sideman and arranger.
Leonie Hey
Leonie Hey
Leonie Hey has devoted her life to playing music that ignites the soul. she answers a calling to honor the legends before her through the pursuit of technical mastery and genuine improvisation.
Born and raised in Germany, Leonie remembers being mesmerised at a young age by the Duke Ellington Suites played by her father and feels at home in the natural groove of jazz, big band and pop music, she picked up the bass guitar at the age of 16.
She quickly became a mainstay in the local pop and jazz scene being featured on national television with major headliners Shakira, Norah Jones, Jeff Beck and Joss Stone. She got a degree in music and arts in 2013.
Now based in France, Leonie is a coveted jazz and pop musician, playing on studio recordings, performing with Europe’s most in demand bands, and producing and arranging original songs. The music she creates today is driven by her greatest desire to follow her heart and connect with musicians and listeners through each song she plays.
Antoine Fillon
Antoine Fillon
Antoine fillon is a well-known drummer from the European jazz scene, also respected and sought after on jazz, Latin and popular music scenes.
Born in Bordeaux, Antoine Fillon trained at the Agostini drum school in France, and studied music in New York, Cuba, Puerto Rico or Rio de Janeiro.
For 10 years, he was the main drummer of the “Harald Schmidt Show”, one of the most famous entertainment shows in Germany in the xxs, which will see renowned artists such as Will Smith, Ophelie Winter, Grace Jones, James Belushi, Randy Crawford, Eric Burdon, Brian Ferry, Rick Astley, Sugar Babes, Vanessa Mae, Nina Hagen, Nena, The Bangles, Willy Deville, Cindy Lauper, Meat Loaf. He will also be a drummer for the German television show “Pop Star”.
His participation in European “live” concerts with well-known groups (examples?), and in particular a tour with world-renowned composer guitarist Toninho Horta, contribute to ensuring him a reputation as a professional drummer of varied talent, who is particularly appreciated for his skills in jazz and Latin music.
Since 2014 back in France in Lacanau, he has continued to evolve on the jazz scene by playing for Marc Bertoumieux, Eric Seva, Dominique Fillon ,Rachael Magidson, as well as continuing to play in Germany.
